Version 8.13 of the Genesis Application Platform takes AI-powered application development even further. With tighter integration between Create and the platform’s AI capabilities, domain experts can now test, validate, and evolve applications with minimal developer support.

This release also delivers enhanced UI flexibility, new Marketplace solutions for credit special situations trading and portfolio margin management, and expanded functionality across the Trade Allocation Manager (TAM) and Wealth Management Suite (WMS).

Let’s take a closer look at what’s new in 8.13.

AI in create: Simplifying application testing

Create, Genesis’ code-free application builder, already empowers non-technical domain experts to build financial-grade applications autonomously. In version 8.13, AI takes this capability further by automatically generating sample data to populate entities within an application’s data model — including instruments, counterparties, trades, and positions.

This new capability helps users visualize and validate their applications in local environments without manually generating sample data. It brings applications to life faster and makes it easier to test relationships and business logic before deployment.

In upcoming releases, Genesis will expand AI’s role in Create to automate even more aspects of testing — helping domain experts simulate, validate, and refine application logic and workflows with minimal manual effort.

Watch the demo video to see how Create generates sample data to help builders validate their entity models and relationships.

Enhanced UI framework: Connecting AI-generated events

In version 8.12, AI in Create introduced natural language-driven configuration for Event Handlers — enabling domain experts to define application logic without coding. Version 8.13 builds on that foundation, allowing users to seamlessly connect AI-generated events to UI elements.

Builders can now fully customize the buttons that trigger events — including icons, tooltips, confirmation messages, and data sourcing options — directly within Create.

This enhancement eliminates the need for manual code intervention outside of the tool and enables domain experts to link workflows, forms, and logic visually.

The demo video shows how a builder creates a UI button for an event, defines tooltips and reference fields, hides unnecessary form elements, and adds confirmation prompts.

UI updates: Smarter column views and navigation

Version 8.13 improves UI flexibility with more intuitive and data-rich controls. Application builders can now configure multi-select dropdown menus that display multiple data columns retrieved from server queries, making it easier for users to find and select the right information in complex datasets.

In the demo, a user creates a form to select accounts, displaying three searchable columns for faster data navigation.

Additionally, the header menu system has been enhanced for simpler configuration of sub-menus, allowing developers to route users more effectively between application pages.

Watch the demo showing multiple submenu options nested under one navigation section.

New marketplace solutions: Credit special situations trading & real-time portfolio margin

Two new solutions debut in the Genesis Platform Marketplace, expanding the platform’s multi-asset trading and risk management capabilities.

Credit Special Situations Trading (CSST)

CSST provides a centralized platform for managing complex credit instruments, including bank debt, trade claims, letters of credit, warrants, DIPs, bonds, and preferred stock. It offers tailored dashboards for trading, research, and sourcing teams, ensuring full visibility into exposures and positions.

The demo video showcases how CSST tracks exposures, supports role-based views, and maintains full auditability across credit workflows.

Real-Time Portfolio Margin (RTPM)

RTPM delivers a multi-asset risk management system for prime brokers, offering live visibility into positions, margin utilization, and portfolio-level risk. With real-time updates based on trades and intraday price changes, it enables proactive client communication and better-informed margin decisions.

Watch the demo to see how RTPM updates position and margin data in real time while supporting exposure and limit management.

Solution updates: Trade Allocation Manager

The Genesis Trade Allocation Manager continues to enhance middle- and back-office operations with new efficiencies and control mechanisms.

New in 8.13:

  • Centralized instrument group structures: define and manage instrument groups to automate static data handling, ensuring consistent treatment of commissions, SSIs, and enrichment logic. This reduces manual maintenance — especially for large institutions managing global coverage.
  • Enhanced confirmation workflows: preview and edit client confirmations before sending, including the subject line, recipients, and message body. This feature improves accuracy and responsiveness across client communications.
  • In-app document repository: TAM now stores generated documents (such as confirmations, EOD reports, and static data files) within the application. Users can securely download and retrieve data at any time, powered by the Document Manager Component.

Together, these updates streamline operations and strengthen auditability across trade and allocation workflows.

Solution updates: Wealth Management Suite

The Genesis Wealth Management Suite continues to evolve as a comprehensive platform for client engagement, quoting, and execution. Version 8.13 delivers several key upgrades:

  • Dynamic pricing tab configuration: admins can now organize instruments into tabs and groups dynamically, eliminating the need for developer changes.
  • Automated terms & conditions tracking: WMS now displays and records client acceptance of documents, supporting faster onboarding and regulatory compliance.
  • In-app document management: users can access portfolio proposals, quotes, and communications directly within WMS. Like TAM, document storage is powered by the Document Manager Component for secure retrieval and sharing.

These enhancements improve both client transparency and internal efficiency, aligning WMS with evolving wealth management workflows.

Platform spotlight: Model Context Protocol Server

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an emerging standard that allows applications to share structured context with large language models (LLMs). In Genesis, the MCP Server functions as a secure, controlled gateway, enabling AI to interface predictably and compliantly with applications.

Key capabilities include:

  • Guardrails for AI: ensures AI operates within strict governance boundaries, preserving compliance and stability.
  • Function controls: lets users specify which functions are AI-accessible within each Genesis application.
  • Access controls: applies the same entitlements and permissions model to all MCP interactions.
  • Backward compatibility: no reconfiguration is required for existing Genesis applications.

With MCP, Genesis continues to define how AI can safely amplify productivity in complex financial environments — making intelligent automation an integral, governed part of enterprise workflows.
