System Administrator – Infrastructure Team

Products and Technology platform

Genesis has numerous products aimed at the Financial Services Industry.  These are all based upon our innovative microservices framework. The framework uses a variety of open source and commercial technologies allowing us to rapidly provide solutions for clients in capital market and other sectors within financial services. We are a cloud first company based in AWS, our infrastructure is primarily Linux based and managed with modern Infrastructure as Code practices.

Role Summary

  • Support, expand and evolve our cloud infrastructure and strategy
  • Work closely with other engineering teams to proactively build out our IT capacity
  • Follow industry best practices for automation, deployment, security etc.
  • Set project milestones and be responsible for keeping track of the progress
  • Have ownership in the operational processes around our infrastructure
  • Have ownership of our office IT

Required skills & experience - Technical

  • Proven industry experience as a Linux System Administrator successfully delivering and supporting large systems.
  • Expertise knowledge of Linux
  • Expertise knowledge in Networking practices
  • Strong understanding in Cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in Ansible or similar automation technologies
  • Experience in Terraform or similar automation technologies
  • Strong practices in Logging and Monitoring
  • Interest in DevOps practices
